Access Optics employs its award-winning nanotechnology metallization process to produce high strength, durable glass-to-metal seals with exceptional optical quality. OEM customers come to us with their toughest requirements for seals that perform in extreme environments -- pressure, temperature, humidity, fluid and solvent exposure -- and come away delighted with Access Optics' solutions.
Glass to Metal Seals
We supply metallized components compatible with standard solders and brazing materials or subassemblies of windows/lenses/prisms mounted in rings or housings -- stainless steel, titanium and controlled expansion alloys:

  • Optics: sapphire - including oriented single crystal material
  • Coatings: AR, dichroic and high reflectors
  • Sizes: < 1mm to 30mm
  • Steam Autoclavable to > 1000 cycles at 4 Bar
  • Tested to 11,000 psig with 10 Hz shock load
  • Leak tested to < 10E-9 atm cc/sec

Access Optics complements its glass to metal seal products with laser welding and device-level assembly services, including optomechanical and electro-optical assemblies.
